At Sassy Stilettos, we specialize in Heels dance classes designed for adults of any age! Our focus is on empowering you to feel sexy, powerful, and confident through dance.
Enjoy an inclusive, welcoming community that is here to support you on your dance journey! Whether you are a beginner or experienced, we want to come together and support self-confidence and expression through dance!
It is never too late to start and to embrace bodies of all shapes and sizes! We are ALL beautiful!

Meet our teachers
Deanna Stephens
Deanna's passion for dance has been a driving force throughout her entire life that has culminated in opening the Uptempo Dance Studio & Sassy Stilettos. Her goal is to share the joy of dance with the people of Barrie and the surrounding areas. Since opening Sassy Stilettos, Deanna has returned to her childhood love of jazz & contemporary with an adult reimagining as she has pursued training, performing, & subsequent teaching of heels classes! She also teaches contemporary & jazz.
Deanna has been teaching ballroom and latin dance since 2015 after discovering her passion for the style in 2008. She has won awards at multiple competitions. Her experience teaching includes both private and group lessons in Barrie, Ontario and at Palm Beach Atlantic University. Before that, she trained as a dance teacher and served as a dance intern to assist the teachers in the lessons at Paramount Ballroom Studios in West Palm Beach. She also has experience in developing wedding choreography for couple's first dances and choreographing stage musicals.
Analia Salvaggio
Analia has been teaching heels, salsa, bachata and more in Argentina for over 20 years and just moved to Canada! She is excited to share her passion for dance with you! Analia has training in salsa, bachata, heels dancing, jazz, zumba, and MORE!
Jillian Johnston
Jill fell in love with dance as a little girl and spent years competing. She returned to dancing in 2022 at Uptempo! After becoming one of Uptempo's most dedicated students, taking nearly every class, she joined our Ladies Confidence Performance Team, where she quickly became a key choreographer. She is now ready to take her dance journey to the next level teaching Ladies Confidence Classes and Heels dance classes. She can't wait for you to join her!
